The new SimLab 3D PDF for Rhino plugin gives its users the ability to share their generated
3D PDF files on the web. Users can select any template to generate an HTML file that includes
the exported 3D PDF file.
SimLab 3D PDF for Rhino includes a new tool for merging multiple PDF files. Users can use the merge feature to merge a companyâ€™s front page â€“in PDF formatâ€“ with a 3D PDF model.
The default navigation system in 3D PDF files tends to focus on one part. For large scenes with different parts, SimLab Smart Navigation is recommended. It tends to update the camera center of rotation according to the part the user is looking at. Changing the navigation system can be done in the 3D Tab of the PDF Settings dialog.
For 3D PDF files with different cameras, a user can select the type of switching between them in the 3D Tab. The first option is Artistic Arrows and the second option is Numbered buttons.
Measurements and annotations taken inside Rhino along with their units are exported into 3D PDF files.
This can be done by checking the Export Measurement and Text Annotations option in the Advanced tab in the Settings dialog.
The user is now able to use any language for header/footer texts, object and camera names.
The interface is now available in English, German, French, Italian, and Simplified Chinese.
The â€˜Open file after exportâ€™ option, makes it easier for users to view the generated 3D PDF files without searching for them.
In PDF Settings dialog - Template tab, clicking a template will open SimLab Template Designer. Clicking File -> Page Size
will open the Page Size dialog, where useres can set the Resolution for PDF Templates.
This will enable users to export PDF files with higher quality images.
After installing 3D PDF exporter for Rhino plugin, a new SimLab menu will be added to Rhino. Before exporting 3D models to 3D PDF files, a user will need
to choose PDF template to use, and set the other PDF settings. This can be done by clicking SimLab -> PDF Export -> Settings. For more

After setting the required PDF Settings, a user can export Rhino models in 3D PDF format by clicking SimLab -> PDF Export -> Export.
